PASADENA, Calif.—Divine Performing Arts presented another immaculate display of ancient Chinese culture in Los Angeles Jan. 2, 2009. The blend of soothing music and elegant dancing made the audience roar with excitement after each segment.

During the intermission we got a chance to get some feedback from another inspired viewer.

Ms. Coto Ramirez from a Consulate office in Los Angeles found the show “very nice.”

“I love the color and the movements. Everything is synchronized you can feel the hope and the things they want to show you in the show it’s very nice. It’s like the name, spectacular.”

When asked what she thought about the traditional Chinese culture, Ms. Coto Ramirez said, “For me I think Chinese culture and music is very relaxing and you can meditate with the music. You feel very relaxed with the culture. It tells me that this is going to be a really good year but we have to have hope for this year. I guess that’s what I feel.”

When describing her favorite part she said, “I love everything but one I like is the one with the lotus flower it was pink and very shiny. I have a piece of the flower in my house. It has the meaning of hope and growth. I really like it.”

She added, “Our culture is very different. I am from Costa Rica, our country is different, and I guess we all have something from [ancient Chinese] culture because it’s universal. I guess with this show you can feel more of the ancient culture.”

She said more people should watch the show. “They have to see it.”

The Divine Performing Arts International Company will wrap up its shows in Los Angeles while its  two sister companies finish up their performances in New York and Canada. The three companies will perform over two hundred and sixty performances worldwide in more than seventy cities this season.
