TAIPEI, Taiwan—Construction company owner, Mr. Yang Jin-Ken, and his wife, were captivated by the Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company’s show held at National Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in Taipei on the afternoon of April 2. After watching the performance, the couple called the Shen Yun performance an eye-opening, and praised the music played by the Shen Yun Orchestra. “It is music from heaven, a medicine for the mind,” Mr. Yang said.
Mrs. Yang said she was completely spellbound by the diversity and completeness presented through the music and artistic elements. “This is heavenly music to me. The live orchestra’s music is a soulfully stunning experience, and it blends wonderfully with the dances and background scenes [dynamic digital backdrops] into one complete presentation,” she said. “The music is a divine blessing and a perfect combination of modern technology with classical music. It complements the stage presentation and results in a fully diversified performance that is not just about dancing.”
She said the performance was perfect and gave a vivid description of what she experienced. “The costumes’ radiance and colours give the feeling of a bright sunny day accompanied by enchanting music and expressive dances to present a perfect creation. It is very enjoyable and impressive,” she said.
Mr. Yang said, “The music is full of tranquility and softness, however, it can be strong and empowering when it needs to be. I would say it is beauty in motion and stillness." And Mrs. Yang noted, “Shen Yun’s music is without doubt the best medicine for modern people’s spiritual care. Watching the Shen Yun performance helps to release our pressure and broaden our vision. It also has a spiritually soothing effect.”
Mrs. Yang felt that Shen Yun reached another realm. “There are scenes of fairylands and of ancient China that take us back in time. When I saw the fairyland scenes and the historical background of the different dynasties, I felt as if I had been brought back to my previous life in a very vivacious way,” she said.
The couple called the performance "an uncharted experience," saying that one would definitely be touched by the music and the breathtaking scenes.
"I really want to recommend Shen Yun to my friends. It would be a pity to miss this show.“
