TAINAN, Taiwan—Mr. Wu Rongjin, Chairman of Liang Gong Engineering Co., watched Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company’s first show in Tainan on April 13. After the show, he praised the performance, exclaiming, “Perfectly great!” Accompanying Mr. Wu to the show was Mrs. Wu and their daughter who also expressed admiration for the show. Both indicated that they enjoyed all the programs.
“I love the show very much!” described Mr. Wu in the local Taiwanese language. He added, “Shen Yun’s high-quality dancers coordinate so well with the high-quality sound of the orchestra. And further enhanced by modern technology, this has been a performance of excellent quality.” He praised other aspects of the show as well. “Wow! The dancing and the costume designs are fabulous. Marvelous!”
At the end of the show, Mr. Wu sat still as though he hadn’t seen enough. He considered that Shen Yun performers had artistically displayed their inner worlds on the stage, exalting, “Well done!”
According to Shen Yun’s website, at a time when the influence of Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism was strong in the Middle Kingdom, art was a means of connecting with the higher universe. Artists cultivated virtue and engaged in study and meditation, because they believed that to create true art worthy of the heavens, there must first be inner beauty and purity. Today, Shen Yun’s artists follow in this noble tradition.
Mr. Wu said he enjoyed all the programs. “I like all of them. Actually, I really want to see more. Next year, I will bring my grandson to watch Shen Yun!” he stressed.
Visibly touched by the Shen Yun performance, Mr. Wu considered that the show is suitable for the entire family. “The content of the programs is nicely written. The audience can catch the essence of the show right away. The content has an outstanding effect in promoting goodness.” He believed that as Shen Yun continues to perform around the world, a gigantic wave of positiveness will be created.
Mrs. Wu and her daughter said they liked every program as well. Specializing in web page design, the daughter said, “I felt like crying!” She explained it was because there had been a mighty positive power in the lyrics of the songs sung by the solo vocalists, taking her to experience something very deep inside her. She added that the quintessence that Shen Yun is delivering through its performances is something that cannot be found elsewhere.
