DAEGU, South Korea—On Feb. 15, the Daegu Metropolitan Council Deputy Speaker, Song Sedal, was among the South Korean celebrities who flocked to Gwacheon City’s Citizen Hall to experience the New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company.

After seeing the performance, Mr. Song said: “I sincerely appreciate Shen Yun for coming to Daegu, as it conveys the message that good begets good and evil leads to evil. It really touches my soul.”

“Shen Yun demonstrates the 5,000 years of the divinely inspired Chinese culture and history,” he added. “It’s indeed very touching. Watching Shen Yun can help us gain more insight into Chinese history. In particular, it’s great to see so many traditional Chinese costumes.”

“The message that evil will eventually be punished and good is eventually rewarded with good deeply touched my heart,” he concluded. “I hope that I am able to see Shen Yun again next year.”

Shen Yun Performers Are World-Class Artists

Park Chuljong, former chief of Confederation of Mashan Entertainment Unions, admired Shen Yun “as the world-class show” and its performers as “world-class artists.”

He said, “Shen Yun presents performing arts. The show is too touching, deeply attracting me. Why can’t our country create such a work? It’s a pity. I am former chief of Confederation of Mashan Entertainment Unions. From the beginning to now, Shen Yun has toured Korea and performed in comparatively large-scale theaters.”

Mr. Park also hopes to see the Shen Yun in his hometown of Mashan. “How great it would be to have the show in Mashan. A coastal city, Mashan also has a large-scale theater. Wow! The show is very touching, great,” he said. “Through the form of arts, the heavenly world is visualized. It’s really this kind of feeling.”

Overall, he thought the performers were world-class.

“The skill level of Shen Yun’s artists is beyond all expectations,” he added. “All the movements are synchronized in terms of their height or their physical rhythm as if they were done by one person.”

In full praise for the Shen Yun orchestral performance, he said: “Shen Yun perfectly blends all kinds of instruments to produce unique music, like the sound of falling water drops. If Shen Yun’s music could be recorded in a CD for sale, that would be great.”
