TAIPEI, Taiwan—Among the audience of the Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company’s second additional performance in Taipei on the afternoon of April 20 were Wu Mingfen, president of Chunu Kiwanis, Taiwan District of Kiwanis International, and another two Kiwanians.

When interviewed, Ms. Wu said, “This is my first time to enjoy such a perfect performance. ‘Perfect’ is the only word for my current mood.”

Savoring the joy of watching the NewYork-based Shen Yun, Ms. Wu said, “From the opening act, the performance has thoroughly drawn my attention, triggering my feelings.”

Dazzled by such an excellent performance, she wondered why there should be an intermission. She was unwilling to have a short break and just wanted to keep watching.

She was deeply touched by the stories depicted in classical Chinese dance, particularly Our Story, the scene in which the teacher is teaching her students.

“The teacher’s commitment to her students, since modern teachers are not so much committed to their students, has really moved me,” Ms. Wu remarked.

Ms. Wen, formally dressed for the show, was fascinated by the dancers attire. “The dancers are delicately costumed. The attire is really beautiful, in bright colors, a delight to the eyes. If possible, I feel like trying it on. Are the costumes available?”

She was also full of admiration for the maintaining of the costumes. “Shen Yun has presented numerous performances. How come the costumes remain so fresh, so pretty, free of any wrinkles?”
