According to the Chicago Tribune, Berry slumped over onto a keyboard after an hour of performing and didn’t move for several minutes. After being helped off stage, the singer returned 15 minutes later but was unable to finish after being interrupted by the arrival of paramedics.
Some reports cite that Berry had not felt well before the show began, and that he was tired from two previous New Year’s Eve performances in New York the day prior to this concert.
