Christina Aguilera Releases New Album, ‘Bionic’

[youtube]WH-hKs9fX3Y[/youtube] Christina Aguilera on NBC’s ‘Today’ in Rockefeller Center on June 8Grammy Award-winning singer Christina Aguilera released her new album “Bionic” Tuesday after a slew of media promotions and the launch of her perfume line. Earlier this morning, she performed on NBC’s ‘Today’ in Rockefeller Center in New York City.

A countdown for “Bionic” was featured on Aguilera’s official website ChristinaAguilera.com. The site also features an ad for the singer’s new perfumes, “Christina Aguilera By Day” and “Christina Aguilera By Night.”

Aguilera also gave a recent performance at the MTV Movie Awards that featured new tracks from Bionic. She sang a medley of the songs from “Bionic,” including “Not Myself Tonight,” and “Woohoo.”

She also released a new video for a single featured on Bionic that is showing a daring visual display. The video for the track “Not Myself Tonight” shows Aguilera taking a cinematic step towards Lady Gaga’s videos but her vocal performance has remained the same.

Aguilera, who started out as a member of the New Mickey Mouse Club, has cultivated her vocal talent through out the years gaining substantial commercial success. She has created a solid catalog of recorded albums that have earned her four Grammy Awards.

Aguilera released her self-titled debut album in 1999 featuring the hit singles “Genie In A Bottle” and “What A Girl Wants.” The album has sold more than 8 million copies worldwide. Her second album, “Stripped” and her third album “Back To Basics” each sold over 4 million copies worldwide.
