Twenty-Four Winners to Enter Global Chinese Vocal Competition Semi-Final

NEW YORK—At 4:45 p.m. (EST) on August 8, 2008, judges of the NTDTV 2nd Global Chinese Vocal Competition announced a list of 24 winners from outside of Taiwan to enter the semi-final.

They come from Canada, USA, Australia, England, and Singapore. Adding 16 candidates from the primary in Taiwan, there will be a total of 40 vocalists competing at Sunday’s semi-final.

The 24 winners from outside of Taiwan to enter the semi-final are:


Bel Canto (male):

Hong Ming, Wang Shaochun, Qian Long, Jason Fuh, Kidd Wang, Zhaxi Douji

Bel Canto (female):

Jing Xin, Li Yu, Chen Huiru, Wu Yingying, Zheng Ruifang, Lin Fangyu, Chen Jingyi

Classical Chinese Singing (male):

Ning Zheng, Liu Wei, Chen Mingdong, Gou Bei, Liu Guanghui, Tom Chu

Classical Chinese Singing (female):

Xu Fenglin, Han Mingxu, Zhang Xiuhua, Chen Ning, Zhang Lichen
