ESCONDIDO—Shen Yun Performing Arts continued its spring tour at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido, California on May 27. This is the third time they’ve performed at this venue. This was the first time that Dr. and Mrs. Young had seen the show. After seeing it, they commented on how great a show they thought it was.
May said, “It is truly a good show and it’s definitely of a high caliber.” She has watched some shows before in Las Vegas, but “none of them had such a high quality. I feel something good which I have never felt before.”
Dr. Young is a Ph.D. who owns a mid-sized biochemical company. For business reasons, he often travels to mainland China. He has seen many shows over there, but he says they cannot compare to Shen Yun. “I think I begin to understand the meaning of life, and I feel this is a great, great show. Music can be rejuvenating and and Shen Yun Performing Art’s music touches our hearts,” he said.
Mrs. Young commented on the backdrops, the costumes, and the dances in the show, how they were so detailed and immaculate, and how the stage scenery was magnificent. She said it must have cost a lot to launch such a performance. She thinks the ticket prices could be higher, and that even if they were $300, that would still be a fair price.
Dr. Young added that every actor is energetic and powerful. To him, it seemed as though they infused spirit into their dances. He said that director must be very good.
They hope Shen Yun will travel to more cities to perform, and they wished that Shen Yun would stay longer and have more shows. They felt the show’s appearance for only three days in Escondido was too brief.
