1.  It has been debated for a long time now where french fries really originated from; many claim that french fries originated in France, but they actually originated in Belgium. 

2. French Fries were introduced in America in 1801 by Thomas Jefferson during a French dinner party.

3. Each medium-sized McDonald’s french fries contains 380 calories, which requires at least one hour of work out.

4. French Fries are actually good for you, because they are made from potatoes, which are rich in fiber, potassium, and Vitamin B6. Fiber leads to lower cholesterol levels and helps prevent indigestion, potassium is a good source of energy, and Vitamin B6 makes your hair and skin shine.

5. In France, french fries are called frites, patates frites, or pommes frites in French. In Britain they are called chips.
