NEW YORK—The audience members who witnessed the Divine Performing Arts performance at Brooklyn’s Howard Gilman Opera House were full of praise.

“I thought the show was great!” said Mr. Varga, who works at the Chamber of Commerce. “It was very exciting and it was a very new cultural experience for me. I never really experienced traditional Chinese dancing before.”

When asked what his favorite part of the show was, Mr. Varga replied: “The costumes! My favorite, I think, was the long sleeves and the chopsticks with the Mongolian chopsticks dance. Of course the drumming was fantastic—I loved the rhythm and I could really get into that kind of thing.”

Chinese culture and spirituality shined into the minds of the audience members. “very interesting spiritual side to it, and [it] kind of opened my eyes to Chinese spirituality which I had no clue about,” he said.

Mr. Varga also explained his background.

“I’ve been in film production and I have a critical eye—I was picking it apart just a little bit, just to be perfectly honest. I saw how [the backdrop] tied in everything and changed the scene immediately and put you in a different location, and just kind of drew you into the backdrop.”

When asked if there was anything he would walk away with after attending this dazzling show, he responded: “Love, peace, compassion, connecting with the spiritual side of you, and just keeping it real, and love for your fellow man. That’s what I took from it.”
