Jim Sullivan - `U.F.O.` (Light in the Attic)
Uniquely West Coast sounding vocals are stripped down like I thought only Willie Nelson’s could be, as they forefront an intricate mix shimmering Feliciano-like in the background. Jerome and title track UFO are classic, even compared to anything from the mighty Gram Parsons. This revival is a rare and great album, which would have been a jewel in my record collection all these years along with Tim Buckley, the Burrito Brothers and the rest. We and the American canon sorely lost out when Jim just disappeared without a trace way back at Santa Rosa, leaving his 12-string, his wallet, and his clothes behind him in a motel room.
