Absurdism can be hard to describe. Trying to explain a Haruki Murakami novel, a Kurt Vonnegut story, or a Monty Python sketch will likely get some funny looks.

Absurdist humor can also be enormously entertaining, especially when it makes fun of subjects that we find tremendously serious, commonplace, or socially sacred. Sometimes it enables us to look closer at aspects of our lives and see the absurdity that surrounds us. Heaven knows life is becoming more and more absurd lately.
