Houses of Parliament
The Houses of Parliament is a cultural heritage of London. It is located inside the Palace of Westminster and it is open to all, either the locals or foreigners. This is the headquarters of both the Chambers of the Parliament and is situated on the north bank of River Thames in the City of Westminster. This building was partially destroyed by a horrific fire in 1834. However, the Westminster Hall constructed in 1097, was saved from the fire. This was the exact place where William Wallace, Guy Fawkes and King Charles the First stood for a trial. After the 19th century, it was re-constructed to its present state. It has built based on the Gothic architecture and the interiors were designed by Charles Barry and Augustus Welby Pugin.
