SAN FRANCISCO—Mr. And Mrs. Webber, from Monterey , California, thought nothing of driving the 2 hour drive to San Francisco’s War Memorial Opera House this evening. Their deep interest in Chinese history brought them to see the enchantingly beautiful performance of Shen Yun Performing Arts.
Shen Yun is fast becoming a traditional, must see show around the globe. Each year brings a restoration of the grace and wonder of 5000 years of authentic, traditional Chinese culture.
Mr. and Mrs. Webber’s business adds to their interest in culture. Mr. Webber said , “Our company, provides simultaneous interpreters for big international events, conferences, and we have done all the Olympic games, winter and summer, since 1984. We still do that although we are supposedly retired.”
Mrs. Webber described their visit to the show as “very nice and very important for us.”.
“The show is fabulous. It’s very professional–the costumes are very colorful, very classy, and it’s just overall a very, very good experience,” Mr. Webber said.
Mrs. Webber has an interest in dance which has led her to believe that dance transcends all cultures and beliefs. “For me, this is an absolute delight!” she said.
The show’s backgrounds, the costumes. the music made Mrs. Webber feel very happy, calling Shen Yun a “beautiful production, beautiful.”
Mr. Webber appreciated the orchestra, saying “ it was absolutely lovely.”.
The dances intrigued Mrs. Webber. “ It just brought back things that I knew about but put into dance and put into music and that was absolutely wonderful, very nice.
“The ladies, the costumes were lovely, they were very feminine, they danced beautifully.”
She continued, “Just a very happy experience. Wonderful! I hope that we'll be back next year.”
She says she hopes that Shen Yun will continue with bringing things into light which cannot be said in China, “ because it is absolutely wonderful. Thank you very much.”
