Shen Yun Performing Arts returns to Texas for the second time this season, this time in Dallas, on February 5-6 to showcase its exhilarating show of classical Chinese dance and music to the friendly people of the Southwestern state.
The New York-based company has received a number of proclamations and congratulatory letters from Texas federal, state, and city officials who are glad their area will host the show.
Both of Texas’ senators greeted the company. U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison wrote that she “commends the performers of the 2010 Shen Yun Performing Arts for contributing to efforts to familiarize the Western World with traditional Chinese values” and extended “best wishes” to all the people attending the show in Dallas.
U.S. Senator John Cornyn offered his “best wishes for a successful event” in his welcome letter to Shen Yun and said that the company’s “efforts to contribute to the cultural advancement of the citizens of Dallas serve as an example for the State of Texas.”
Shen Yun was also praised by Congressmen Kenney Marchant and Jeb Hensarling.
“On behalf of the people of Texas’ 24th Congressional district I am honoured to recognize the Shen Yun Performing Arts Day for its cultural influence and outstanding entertainment,” the Honourable Kenny Marchant wrote in his proclamation letter.
Commending Shen Yun and the local organizers for bringing the rich cultural show to Dallas, the Texas Senate adopted a proclamation “as an expression of esteem” for Shen Yun Performing Arts.
