A “ring of fire” eclipse will occur next month over Canada and its environs; and will be visible from the remote areas of north Ontario, Russia, Greenland, and Polar Bear Provincial Park (located on the southwestern shore of Hudson Bay).

The annular solar eclipse—where the outer edge of the Sun is visible behind the Moon—will take place on Thursday, June 10. Obscured by a lunar silhouette, 94 percent of the Sun will be blocked out by the satellite, leaving only the outer edge of the Sun’s disk exposed in a ring shape for viewers here on Earth to marvel at.
