Whether you’re a gourmet enthusiast or an ordinary cook, a vented range hood makes preparing food more pleasant and the kitchen more appealing. The hood is designed to remove the grease, steam, smoke and odors of cooking, while keeping walls and surfaces from becoming greasy and making the kitchen a healthy and attractive place to be.

A hood consists of a canopy, a blower system and ducting and is typically installed under a cabinet or mounted on the wall or over an island range. Some have built-in lights to illuminate stovetop work or night light or other custom features. The array of range hoods runs from a basic utilitarian unit installed over an electric range to a custom design hood that towers over a professional gas stove.
