Peter Billingsley, famous for playing 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in the 1983 movie A Christmas Story, is now the executive producer of A Christmas Story: The Musical!

The musical is playing at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle, Wash., until Dec 30.

A Christmas Story has always meant a lot to me personally,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “I’m excited to bring this film to the stage, because the story and the characters lend themselves so well to the world of musicals.”

Billingsley has served as executive producer before, working with Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn in Iron Man and Four Christmases.

A Christmas Story centers on a boy who desperately wants a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas.

It’s full of memorable quotes, “You'll shoot your eye out!” “Fra-gi-lé ... it must be Italian!” “Deck the halls with boughs of horry ... Fa ra ra ra ra ...!”

There will be a 24-hour marathon of the film on TBS on Christmas Day.
