ST. PAUL, Minn.—On this unseasonably warm evening, Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen were among the responsive audience who gave a standing ovation to the Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts on March 16.
Mr. Si Nguyen is the publisher and manager of The Little Saigon Newspaper.
As the Nguyens had escaped from Vietnam, they felt close empathy with the performances. Mr. Nguyen said: ”We escaped Vietnam, a communist country, so this is a very good show for us.”
New York-based Shen Yun is the world’s premier classical Chinese dance and music company that aims to breathe new life into traditional Chinese culture, much of which has been destroyed by the communist regime. Thus, Shen Yun presents works that are not only unique, but also educational and enjoyable.
“Oh the show is wonderful and professional, [the performers] are awesome,” Mr. Nguyen said and added “I will come back next year.”
Mr. Nguyen said he has never seen such a beautiful show before and he would certainly recommend it to his friends.
Mr. Nguyen’s wife, Kim, also enjoyed the show tremendously and will recommend it to her friends: “I support this show, I really like it. I will tell my friends next year and they will come.”

New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts has three touring companies that perform simultaneously around the world. For more information, visit ShenYunPerformingArts.org
