Eldad Hagar got a call about a “very nervous” homeless dog hiding out in an industrial park in Orange County, California. When Hagar arrived, the fearful black German shepherd “told” him she meant business by showing her teeth.
He showed up at a construction company compound with fellow canine rescuer Loreta Frankonyte. This was going to be a “seriously dangerous” rescue, Hagar said. “[The dog] told me and Loreta to leave her alone, but we didn’t listen!” They were prepared for what came next.
