Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland park in Anaheim, Calif., and Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Fla., are Disney Parks' largest single-themed land expansions ever at 14-acres each, transporting guests to a never-before-seen planet, a remote trading port, and one of the last stops before wild space where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life. If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland or Walt Disney World Resort this year, you’ll find many new attractions, events, and experiences on tap. Disney parks are always adding ways to entertain their guests, and 2019 is shaping up to be a big year at both resorts.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

The biggest news is the opening of the long-awaited Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, a new Star Wars-themed land in Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, and at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

The 14-acre land includes two new rides. On Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, guests can play one of three unique roles aboard the fastest ship in the galaxy, and on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, riders take part in an epic battle between the First Order and the Resistance—including a face-off with Kylo Ren.
