A day after this Honduran family’s daughter had been declared dead and had been sealed in a concrete tomb, they heard banging and screaming from within. Ecstatic and hopeful, the family scurried to rescue her. But instead of a living girl, what they found was a mystery that no one was able to explain.
When they heard Neysi Perez, a 16-year-old, banging and screaming from inside her coffin in August 2015, a day after she was laid to rest, her family came to her rescue, using all means necessary to break open the concrete tomb to free her.
