This comedy actioner, loosely based on real events, shows how this secret unit aided the war effort against the Nazis during World War II.

Based on the Damien Lewis’s book “Churchill’s Secret Warriors,” this fictionalized account of the SOE’s exploits, features skilled direction and capable performances by co-stars Henry Cavill and Alan Ritchson.

This animated seafaring adventure has positive messages about friendship and familial bonds, as well as about aging gracefully. Parents should be aware that although this is billed as a family movie, there is some cartoon violence.

Despite its clichéd premise, the film offers plenty of entertainment as viewers observe how long the protagonists can maintain their ruse. Additionally, this romantic comedy delivers an unexpectedly emotional journey that should resonate with genre fans.
