This is an endearing film that features lots of funny moments. There are also some bittersweet ones that anyone who faced challenges in high school can relate to. It does not have the most unique premise, but is engaging and charming nonetheless.

While this film sports some fantastic music, writing, and direction, Borgnine steals the show with his realistic portrayal of a common man dealing with everyday struggles.
