LONDON—The fifth show of the Shen Yun Divine Performing Arts (DPA) in London was presented to a full house and received warm applause from an enthusiastic audience. Among them were Mr. and Mrs. Gareh, a hotelier and a former singer.
“The singers had very good voices,“ said Mrs. Gareh, who once sang professionally in the popular music field. She really liked the show.
“It was very colourful, and they worked very hard. There was always a genuine feeling behind the performances. The music as well is very good. It was very enjoyable,“ said the vocalist.
Mrs. Gareh added that she felt the “artists were sincere, genuine in their feelings and hope for the future.“
Shen Yun DPA has already performed in Frankfurt, Antwerp, and Paris on the European leg of its 2009 World Tour, and audiences all around the world have commented on the unique and beautiful sound of the DPA orchestra that combines Western and Chinese musical instruments to create a masterful fusion. Currently it is the world’s only orchestra that embraces both Western and Chinese instruments together.
Mrs. Gareh was impressed by the blend of both worlds. She said, “I think they blended very well, the two different styles of culture of music. It shows how the different cultures can mix together in harmony.“ Mr. Gareh also said it was ”very natural.“
