DURHAM, N.C. —After a multiple city tour of Florida, Divine Performing Arts (DPA) Touring Company arrived in Durham, North Carolina on Saturday night. The DPA performers will be bringing their extravagant classical Chinese dance show to the new Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) on Sunday, Dec. 28. This will be the first DPA show in the Durham/Research Triangle area.
Brian Nieh, one of the DPA dancers, said that they played to full houses in Ft. Lauderdale, Sarasota, and Jacksonville. “The audience has been very warm and receptive,” Nieh said.
Nieh is one of the sixty performers arriving in Durham. They are part of the Divine Performing Arts 2009 World Tour which will visit over 80 cities in 20 countries over the next few months.
