PASADENA, Calif.—A deep and profound message came through for an aviation engineer attending the Divine Performing Arts Chinese New Year Spectacular at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, Jan., 2009.
Mr. Ferrell, a director of aviation, said he believed the last item, Knowing the True Picture Offers Ultimate Hope holistically wrapped up the entire show.
The storyline calls on people to discern the truth of affairs such that they may have hope of being saved by the divine.
“Other shows have pageantry and presentation, but they don’t have the message. They don’t give you a deeper feeling as this does. Other shows are just pure entertainment, but this has entertainment plus a message, which is very important.”
Mr. Ferrell recommends everyone to see the show.
“I think the messages are good, everyone should look to a higher being, and have a connection to a higher being, regardless of what that being is. It’s important that as individuals we have something that’s above and beyond [ourselves] to reach out to. I think the message is great ... it’s a good message, and it fits with my philosophy, but it’s something I will think about.”
He said the show was interesting and had enjoyed every part.
“Oh, it’s fabulous, it was a wonderful presentation, it was on multi-levels. The color, the pageantry, the message more than anything. It was a very, very profound message—that, there is a higher being, that there is spiritualness among all of us. We must touch that and reach out to that spiritualness.
“I think that’s very important in this world ... being able to choose. Yeah, everyone has that capability. They have to make decisions in their life. It’s an important decision for anyone as to what path they walk, and whether they will reach out or not.”
Mr. Ferrell said the Chinese communist regime’s abuse of human rights was unfortunate, as exposed in the dance Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution.
“Some day hopefully, China will be an open society where everyone can practice their religion as they see fit.”
