ANTWERP, Belgium—The Divine Performing Arts (DPA) New York Company’s performance at the Stadsschouwburg, the City Theatre in central Antwerp on Wednesday Feb. 25 was applauded by all.

Didier, Director of an International Health Organization and his wife, Simone, owner of an art gallery in the south of France, came to Antwerp, the town where Didier grew up, with their little son Oliver for a holiday. They now live in Paris, which is where the DPA will perform on the next leg of its 2009 World Tour.

Didier said the DPA performance was “very good,” and Simone thought that it was very interesting, “Giving an insight into the Chinese culture.”

The guiding mission of DPA is to rediscover and renew humanity’s true, rightful cultural heritage. The company thus creates and performs works that center upon the true, divinely bestowed culture of humankind.

Didier appreciated the spiritual aspects of the show and the tour of the 5,000 years of ancient Chinese culture up to present-day China. He explained, “The link between the spiritual dimension and the exhibition of the Chinese culture is quite special and quite new.

“We are far from knowing much about the Chinese culture, so it was a first step, maybe a trigger to know more. To learn more about the performers, what’s going on in China and so on. It’s a first impression.

“They’ve got so many people on stage! It’s fantastic!”

This was the final DPA show in Antwerp before continuing its 2009 World Tour in Paris on Friday Feb. 27.
