One year ago last month, Nash Keen was born smaller than the size of a grapefruit, weighing less than a can of soda pop. Several weeks after his first birthday was celebrated on July 5 of this year, Guinness World Records officially recognized him as the world’s most premature baby.

“It feels surreal,” Nash’s mom, Mollie Keen, told Guinness (GWR), speaking about her son’s whirlwind first 12 months. “A year ago, we weren’t sure what the future would look like, and now we’ve celebrated his first birthday.”
