“Happy release day to meeee (and Nick),” tweeted Folds earlier on Tuesday.
Nick Hornby is the author of quite a few bestselling novels. A few of them include "High Fidelity," "About A Boy," "How To Be Good" and "A Long Way Down."
"A Long Way Down" was shortlisted for the 2005 Whitbread Novel Award and the 2006 Commonwealth Writers Prize.
Hornby used to be a journalist and had his writings published on news agencies and magazines, such as Vogue and The Sunday Times, according to the writer’s official website.
The album is available for pre-order on Ben Folds’ official website. The deluxe package includes a CD, four short stories by Hornby, and photographs by Joel Meyerowitz in a 152-page book and costs $22. A standard CD is listed for $13, and a vinyl package for $17.
On Oct. 12, Folds and Hornby are set to appear at Liner Notes, an event at Housing Works Bookstore Café in New York, to promote the album and raise funding for an HIV service organization.
