PASADENA, Calif.—Mr. Wayne and his friend Elani are delighted they came to the Jan. 3 performance of the Divine Performing Arts International Company.

This Chinese New Year welcomes in the year of the Ox, a sign of strength and endurance.

Elani is a singer, she received a flyer about the show and decided she had to come see it. “It was very touching; it spoke to my heart. It was impossible not to be touched. The music and the dancing are so graceful.” She seemed to come more alive watching the show.

While overall it was very hard to pick a favorite, she found “The Udumbara’s Bloom” breath taking and enjoyed “The Miraculous Exhibit.” The Udumbara is a legendary flower which is said to bloom every 3000 years when a great sage or enlightened being is in the world, they have bloomed all over the world in the last few years.

“The Miracluous Exhibit” is about the transformative power of sacred art. A number of artists draw inspiration from the Buddhist practice of Falun Dafa and this shines through the artwork.

“I am really happy I came today, I truly loved it.”

Elani visited Xian, China in 1991, she saw a show about the Tang Dynasty while there. There was no comparison. Her description was that it was like “a Las Vegas revue.”

Mr. Wayne is a beauty pageant coordinator who is currently helping to organize the Miss Asia contest in Hawaii.

He found today’s show “inspiring, heart-rendering and charming...as well as magnificent.”

“The performers are so accomplished, the show exceeded his expectations. I’m big on Asian culture.”

Both Mr. Wayne and Elani perceived a theme within the show, one of divine hope being offered to humanity which will bring it out of dangerous times. They feel all people would benefit from seeing this show to gain the universal message of oneness.
