Atlanta Braves All-Star Freddie Freeman and his wife, Chelsea, made a big announcement on social media on Friday: Theyβre expecting not one but two brand-new additions to the Freeman family coming in 2021.
The couple, who have been married since 2014, already have a 4-year-old son, Charlie, and heβll be turning 5 in September.
Chelsea broke the news of the twins on her Instagram account by posting a photograph of two tiny matching white onesies emblazoned with the words: βPrayed for One” and “Blessed with Two.β
Beside the photograph, Chelsea captioned:
“Coming Early 2021…
A baby for each year we prayed ππ»β€οΈ”
She then added hashtags βpregnancy announcementβ and βpregnancy after infertility.β You can see her adorable photo here.
On the same day, Freddie posted his own public announcement on Twitter. βParents of 3 coming soon! Love you @chelseafree5,β the 30-year-old first baseman captioned.
The couple did not have to wait long for the public to join in the celebration along with the couple.
Instagrammers on the internet wrote lively and uplifting messages on Chelseaβs post such as: βSo exciting!!!!!! ππ»πππ»β€οΈππ» Hurray congratsβ and βOMG π IM SO HAPPY FOR YALL!!!β And it garnered over 20,000 likes in just a few hours.
Then on Saturday, she shared a family photoshoot with the three of them holding balloon letters that spell out “babyβ and little Charlie wearing a T-shirt with the words βBig Brotherβ in baseball font. Check out their photoshoot here.
And the expectant mother offered up yet more surprises to come (to be revealed on Sunday, Aug. 30) with her caption:
