NEW YORK—“I was amazed by the intensity of the color. It was really over the top, it was incredible,” said Ms. Kellner, an artist, photographer, and artistic director, after seeing the Divine Performing Arts performance of Chinese New Year Splendor at Radio City Music Hall on Saturday.
“I thought it was very exciting and I loved the choreography,” she said.
Ms. Kellner is the artistic director and co-founder a visual artists organization that includes a wide variety of different artists. She has received numerous awards and grants for her work. She has also been an artist-in-residence at several institutions in the United States and Canada. “I especially liked the pictures of the flowers, the spring,” she added.
“It’s a really beautiful choreography, and overall the choreography of the entire performance was superb. I really enjoyed it.”
Ms. Kellner said she was impressed by the show’s innovative animated backdrop.
“I think it was very effective,” she said.
“That was something I didn’t expect, it was a nice touch.”
