PASADENA, Calif.—Mrs. Schorin is an artist, a mother, and the wife of an internationally famous author. She had heard about the show three years ago, and had wanted very much to go, but it wasn’t until this year that everything came together. She was determined to go, so her whole family finally got to see the Divine Performing Arts “Chinese New Year Spectacular.”
“The show is the best, the dancers are filled with grace and beauty. There is a sense of being immersed in ancient Chinese music and culture.
“I am of the Jewish faith, the spiritual content of the show seems very similar to my faith; returning to the spiritual path is wonderful to start the New Year. It shows that everyone gets off-track and lost, suffers. So, open to the spirit, no matter what your culture.”
Mrs. Schorin’s son was off being interviewed with his father and grandfather, but she mentioned that they took him to cultural shows. He aspires to be a producer and loves different cultures. She said the special backdrop in the show especially intrigued him.
DPA will put on a total of eight shows in Los Angeles as it continues to march up the West coast. Meanwhile, two other groups are performing in New York and Canada.
The inspiring and true depiction of traditional Chinese culture will be shared with the world once again.

Mr. Van, a local real estate executive, commented on his experience of the Divine Performing Arts show. “It’s a really terrific performance! We just got back from China and it’s very educational and inspiring.
