Artist Moved to Tears Watching Shen Yun

PHILADELPHIA—Watching Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Merriam Theater in Philadelphia on April 25 was a moving and inspiring experience for artist Nelda Seidel.

“It was fabulous. It brought tears to my eyes, it really did. It was spectacular!” said Ms. Seidel, a stained glass artist.

“It’s an amazing show. It’s wonderful to have something like this here.”

Shen Yun was founded in 2006 in New York with the mission to revive 5,000 years of divinely inspired Chinese culture. Since its inception, the company has become a global phenomenon, touring more than 20 countries and around 100 cities each year.

With classical Chinese dance as its hallmark, the performance takes the audience on a journey through China’s rich and vast history.

Ms. Seidel said she was particularly moved by the spiritual aspects of China’s culture reflected in the performance. “It made me cry,” she said.

“I definitely recommend it to absolutely everybody. It’s fabulous.”
