Unbunny - 'Moon Food' (Affairs of the Heart)
Combining elements of Magnetic Fields, the late Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse and Californian songsmiths Papercuts, Jarid Del Deo makes literate and lyrically morose music of the type enjoyed predominantly by anxiety fraught white men of a certain vintage, who often wallow in their own neuroses.

Being a member of this broad constituency I found this record enjoyable, if not a remarkable diversion in a fairly crowded field. Certainly finely crafted songs like ‘Winning Streak’ are worthy additions to this sub genre and that song in particular also draws comparison with the feted Elliot Smith. So another fine addition to the existential angst canon.
