This debut international release has taken the band’s home country of Israel by storm. Despite initial reticence to a local band singing in anything other than Hebrew, this English language album has now had considerable critical acclaim. In essence The Reckoning is an eclectic mix of influences from folk and blues to a heavier rock sound reminiscent of Led Zeppelin and grunge.

Asaf’s raucous and exceptionally high vocals – at times a screaming caterwaul – recall Janis Joplin at the height of her powers. Though clearly derivative, all of this combines seamlessly with a unique indie spirit and raw power that should have worldwide appeal.
