RICHARDSON, Texas—On Feb. 4, Divine Performing Arts (DPA) finished the last of a run of performances at the Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas, leaving another audience in astonishment with their elegant and exquisite presentation of classical Chinese dance.

Ms. Weng Juan, an accountant, from mainland China, stayed in the theater to applaud well after the show had ended.

Talking about her impressions of the show she said, “I did not imagine that the show would be so wonderful and professional. The show is lovely and lively—and has a warm atmosphere.”

She added, “The dance and costumes are splendid. To my surprise these young men dance very well with elegant movements full of a calm power.”

When asked which programs were her favorite, she answered, “I am very impressed with Welcoming Spring.

“Dragon Springs Drummers was the first time I had ever seen a dance like that; Drummers of the Tang Court is exciting; and Monk Ji Gong Abducts the Bride is such great fun. Such a great variety in the programs.”
