The downside of watching movies with lavish food scenes is that they inevitably induce hunger that goes unsatisfied.
But that’s not the case at the Food Film Festival, which returns to New York for its eighth iteration. The films revolve around food, and the audience gets to taste the dishes featured on-screen.
The films include “Finding Gaston,” with a focus on Peruvian cuisine (expect ceviche, causa, and Pisco sours); and an aquaculture-focused evening of films (with dishes from Brad Farmerie, Jeff McInnis of Root & Bone, plus diver oysters from Long Island).
All events are held at AMC Village 7, at 66 Third Ave.
