Whale and Calf Seen Off Chilean Coast

A Southern right whale and its calf have been spotted off the coast of Playa Grande in Quintay, Chile, since Sept. 8.

Videos uploaded to social media by a diving school show images of the whale and calf swimming near the shore.

Local media reported authorities have asked boats to avoid the pair and respect the rules of only observing the animals from land.
