Two camels and a tiger that were stolen while being transported to Bowmanville, Canada, were found alive and well in their trailer on a rural road in central Quebec on Tuesday.
The animals went missing last week after the trailer and truck transporting them back to their home zoo from a zoo in eastern Canada was stolen from a motel parking lot.
Camels, Shawn and Todd, and Jonas the tiger, were found in good condition.
Local police told Canadian media that the thieves had provided the animals with food and water.
While camels can go without water for weeks, the Bowmanville Zoo had expressed concern about the tiger risking kidney failure due to water deprivation.
It remains unclear if the animals or the truck were targeted by the thieves.
