Raj Shah, communications director for House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) will leave his job by the end of the summer, The Epoch Times confirmed.
The House on May 8 overwhelmingly rejected Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s push to vacate Mr. Johnson in a 359–43 vote.

The bill is in separate legislation to the foreign aid funding for Ukraine and Israel. The House is expected to vote on it later this week.
As the speaker faces an ouster threat, he also presides over a deeply divided Republican conference making him more reliant on Democrats to pass legislation.
Johnson’s comments come after Rep. Thomas Massie says he would co-sponsor Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s motion to vacate.
The four part plan will include three separate financial assistance packages: one for Ukraine, one for Israel, and one for Taiwan.
The group said that using the crisis prompted by Iran’s unprecedented attack this weekend to pass Ukraine funding would be a ‘bogus justification.’
The Kentucky lawmaker said Rep. Mike Johnson has ‘completely changed ... on the idea that we shouldn’t spy on Americans without a warrant.’
Johnson, who doesn’t always vote, cast the decisive vote that killed the proposal, prompting outrage and condemnation from some conservatives.
Previous efforts by Congress to fund Israel have failed or died on three earlier occasions.
‘Marjorie’s a friend. She’s very frustrated about, for example, the last appropriations bills. Guess what? So am I,’ said Mr. Johnson.
Any move by Mr. Johnson to bring a vote on such legislation could be met with a forced vote on the motion to vacate.
‘This is a betrayal of the American people. This is a betrayal of the Republican voters.’
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), the lawmaker most responsible for Mr. McCarthy’s removal, said he doesn’t want to see Mr. Johnson go.
