An overseas highway, U.S. 1, island hops in the Florida Keys. I followed it and found the Florida of my childhood.

I finally did something I’ve been saying I was going to for years now, got my open water scuba certification.

At 80 feet below the Atlantic ocean, diver Gene Ritter realized he was running out of air. He didn’t panic, knowing he had his emergency tank. But as he was trying to get out of the Lizzie D shipwreck, it got stuck.

The red-lined sea cucumber, Thelenota rubralineata, is also known as the candy cane sea cucumber due to its stripy looks.

Pistol or snapping shrimps are a diverse group of crustaceans comprising around 600 species, mostly in the genera Alpheus and Synalpheus.
