With Sacramento’s mayor termed out and the prospect of fresh faces on the City Council, residents are eager to see troubling issues get tackled.
All sports events and extracurricular activities were canceled for the day, the Sacramento Bee reported.
“The new normal is ... things are locked behind Plexiglas, basic everyday stuff, deodorant, toothpaste, soap, that is not OK,” the county sheriff said.
“It is gratifying to see these dollars going to work helping some of the most vulnerable people suffering on our streets,” the mayor said.
