Over two years ago I accomplished a goal of losing 30 pounds. The much tougher goal was keeping that weight OFF. You will see many advertisements for quick weight-loss, but whether you can keep it off is the big question. This drink recipe is perfectly satisfying and will help you flush fat to reach (and keep!) your weight loss goals.

Ingredients:

1 gallon purified water 12 grapefruit wedges 1 cucumber, sliced 2 tangerines, sliced (lemon can be used if you can’t find tangerines) 4 peppermint or other mint leaves ice (optional – I don’t use it because I don’t like super cold drinks or food)

Directions:

Rinse grapefruit, tangerine, cucumber, and mint leaves. Slice the cucumber, grapefruit, and tangerine. Combine all ingredients in a gallon glass pitcher (you can halve everything if you only have a ½ gallon pitcher). Let the ingredients sit for 2 to 3 hours for maximum benefits to your body. This is a cool, refreshing drink especially for summer months. I promise you'll acquire a taste for it!
