On Chan, a member of the renowned Hong Kong boy band C Allstar, won three awards at the  for his music video “The Creator’s Shower,” including a silver award in the “TELEVISION-Craft Visual Effects” category, on par with Marvel and NASA.
Chan expressed surprise and gratitude. He said, “I have never expected to receive such a prestigious American award. It was a great encouragement and affirmation.”

The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 to honor excellence in local, regional, cable television commercials, non-broadcast videos, and television programming.

This is the second time “The Creator’s Shower” has won an award overseas after winning the “Best Asian Music Video” at last month’s Prague Music Video Awards 2022/23 Spring Edition.
The music video won one silver and two bronze awards at the Telly Awards, including a silver award in the “TELEVISION-Craft Visual Effects” category and bronze awards in both the “TELEVISION-General Music Video” and “Online-General Music Video” categories.
Only a few Asian singers have won the Telly Awards, including Jolin Tsai and Wu Qing Feng from Taiwan and Namewee Wong from Malaysia.
Chan is the first Hong Kong singer to receive this honor for standing out among over 13,000 entries in 2023.
Chan said, “I never thought I could win such a prestigious award in the U.S. I found that Hong Kong’s music video is the first time to win this award. I am glad that our Production House Mediviso 3JBK won the award, and the happiest thing is that we got the award on par with Marvel, Disney, Netflix, and NASA, which made it a great encouragement and recognition.”
He also said, “When we were working on the music video for “The Creator’s Shower,” we liked it so much, but few people noticed it. I think if you have good work, you can try to participate in different competitions, maybe your work will be recognized, and you may have unexpected rewards.“
Chan went through a sticky patch to get this recognition. He spent three to four months working out for the music video, showing off his six-pack abs shirtless.
He hopes to hold a celebration banquet with all his behind-the-scenes team members to share their joy. “I have invited the director, makeup artist, hairstylist, and other team members to have a meal together as the prizes are still on their way to Hong Kong from the United States. When we receive them, I hope to have a great meal and share the joy with all.”
