The last episode of Grey’s Anatomy ended with Cristina and Owen discussing reasons for Owen’s break up with Emma. They both disagree that their past relationship was the reason for Owen’s break up. Owen thinks Cristina wanted his relationship with Emma to work out so she wouldn’t feel guilty, or so she would stop thinking about him.

On Richard’s birthday, Bailey offers him the chance to join in the case of a lifetime.
Meredith hires a research assistant to help with her portal vein project, and a scorned Callie shocks Derek.
Shane helps screen candidates for Cristina’s clinical trial and meets a young expectant mother (Keke Palmer) who needs his help.
Episode 17 — “Do You Know?” (March 27, 9:00 p.m. ET)
Cristina imagines the two routes her life can take based on one decision she makes.
Also, one of the hospital’s patients decides whether or not to live.
Episode 18 — “You Be Illin” (April 3, 9:00 p.m. ET)
Flu infected patients flood the hospital, which causes the doctors to slowly fall ill one by one.
Derek must fight off the sickness as he prepares to give a speech on brain mapping.
Meanwhile, the hospital’s residents place bets on who will fall ill first.
Also, a new doctor at the hospital gives Alex a glimpse into an alternate form of medical practice.
