House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Republican nominee Donald Trump are putting their differences aside and will appear together for the first time in the campaign on Oct. 8.
U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan said on Thursday his support of Donald Trump was “not a blank check,” in response to the Republican presidential candidate’s refusal to endorse him.
The candidate and the speaker released a statement saying their discussion was a “very positive step toward unification.” They also pointed out that there are “many important areas of common ground” as well as issues that they disagree on.
