The new 6th District will have a black voting age of 53 percent.

The New York Supreme Court decided 4-3 that voters should not rely on Congressional Districts drawn by a court-appointed special master.

The appeals court’s main opinion said plaintiffs ‘failed to present any evidence’ to back their claims the new district maps diluted black voting power.
